What this policy covers

This page explains what information may be processed when you visit CryptoDad, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Like most hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP address, browser and device data, requested URL, and security-related logs in order to deliver and protect the site. Portfolio prices

Current portfolio prices are requested directly by your browser from CoinGecko. This lets the page show live market values without a backend. CoinGecko may receive technical request data such as your IP address and browser information when that request is made. Read CoinGecko’s Privacy Policy.

Analytics

Google Analytics is used to understand aggregate site visits. It is not loaded unless you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. If you accept, Google may process information such as pages viewed, browser and device details, approximate location inferred from IP address, and analytics identifiers. The site does not load Google Ads or other marketing pixels.

Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the CryptoDad Google Analytics property and Google’s own policies. Read Google’s Privacy Policy.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores your analytics choice in browser local storage under cryptodad_cookie_consent. This is necessary to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. It remains until you change your choice or clear your browser storage.

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set its own cookies, including _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie. If you reject analytics, the site does not load Google Analytics. You can change your decision at any time through Cookie settings in the footer; rejecting analytics also removes the Analytics cookies that this site can remove.

Email

If you email hello@cryptodad.io, your email address and the information you include may be processed to read and reply to your message. Messages are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for that purpose, unless a longer period is required by law.

Partnerships

This site may contain affiliate links, paid placements, or sponsored content. Any such material will be labelled clearly.

Your choices and rights

You can reject or withdraw analytics consent at any time through Cookie settings. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of personal data processed about you. International processing

Cloudflare, Google, and CoinGecko may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Their handling of that information is governed by their respective policies and safeguards.
